Counselors

The Sakina Center maintains a staff of talented and experienced volunteer counselors. All our counselors are capable of helping you no matter what your situation is. As a good practice we prefer males speak to our male counselors and females speak to female counselors.

Listed in RED are the currently active counselors, while the remaining counselors are currently away for the time being.

Counselor Nurain (sister)

-Psychology BA degree

-Worked with abused women at Women’s shelter and children with parental problems

-Plans on pursuing further study in Psychology

-Masters in Social Work

-Counseling and crisis intervention experience

-Fluent in English and French

-Researcher in psychology and other fields related to counseling

-Counseled in areas of Islam, marriage, peer pressure.
